Beginnings Are Always Messy...

Despite the fact that this was Jace's idea, I actually have found myself unexplainably drawn to the world of blogging! My hope for the Schneider blog is to record sweet memories of my little family, and share them in a fun and creative way with our family and friends.
Now, just to get you all caught up... Jace and I were sealed for time and eternity on August 21, 2009 in the Salt Lake City temple. For details on our pre-marriage life, and how we got started, just ask Jace... he loves to tell that story. But I'll skip ahead... after we were married, we moved into a cozy little cottage in Pleasant View for about 8 months. I worked at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake as a Banquet Server, and attended the LDS Business College, while working towards my Associates Degree in general studies. Jace worked at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray as an Account Resolution Specialist. We then packed up our lives and moved to an apartment in Sandy because commuting was a drag. Oh yeah! And because I was pregnant! And we needed more space. Jema Elise was born on November 17, 2010. We then spent 8 more months there, until we moved into Jace's parent's home in Hooper. So, Jace was back to commuting, and I was neither working nor going to school. Jace was hired as an Eligibility Counselor at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, so his days of commuting were over!
We have since been happily living in Hooper with Jace's parents, while working towards paying off all our debt in order to get into a home we can call our own! We've already paid off our car and a few credit cards. By December, we will be 100% debt-free! Jace plans to go back to Weber State University in the fall. He will be working towards his Bachelor's Degree, majoring in English teaching, and minoring in Physical Ed/coaching. I plan to finish at the LDS BC in January, and graduate with my Associates Degree in general studies.
Jema is now 8 months old. She has two bottom teeth. She isn't crawling yet, but she drags herself across the floor to get to where she wants to go. Her favorite things include her Cookie Monster toy, Sweet Corn Casserole baby food, watching Spongebob Squarepants, cruising around in her walker, snuggling with Mommy, and when Daddy makes her laugh! She is growing up right before our eyes! I wish she would just stay little.
Well, I didn't intend for my first post to be so lengthy, but that was the past two years in a nutshell.
So this is the start of the Schneider family blog... it may not be great, but... "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great!"

  1. It's great to hear this wonderful story, maybe it should tell us how they met.

All families have a story behind it. Jace I met in the mission and I can say it's a great person, with the unforgettable moments that I believe in friendship separated by a small distance.

Hopefully someday God will allow me to once again be able to shake hands with jace and his family.

Married life is certainly difficult and full of trials, but definitely worth it.

Encouraged by this new family project.

    P. S. Thank God there is Google translator;)
    P. S. A warm greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico.

    regards
